Welcome to the Cedar House Retreat website. By using this website or booking any of our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before using our site or making a booking.
1. About Us
This website is operated by Cedar House Retreat, a trading name of Carly McAlley Practice, based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We offer wellbeing experiences including Conscious Connected Breathwork, Sound Healing, Ceremonial Cacao, Grief Tending, Women's Circles, Private Ceremonies, Workshops, Retreats and other community wellbeing experiences.
2. Use of the Website
By accessing this website, you agree to:
Use the website only for lawful purposes.
Not copy, reproduce, distribute or resell any content without our written permission.
Not interfere with the security or functionality of the website.
Ensure that any information you submit through our forms is accurate and truthful.
We reserve the right to amend, update or remove any part of this website at any time without prior notice.
3. Booking & Payment
By making a booking you confirm that:
The information you provide is accurate and complete.
Payment will be made in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
Completion of any required health questionnaire, waiver or consent form is a condition of participation.
Cedar House Retreat reserves the right to decline or cancel a booking where we believe participation may not be safe or appropriate.
If Cedar House Retreat needs to cancel or significantly change an event due to illness, severe weather or circumstances beyond our control, you will be offered either:
A full refund, or
The opportunity to transfer your booking to another available date.
4. Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds
We understand that plans sometimes change and will always do our best to be fair while protecting the viability of our small business.
One to One Sessions
Cancellations made 7 days or more before your appointment will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your booking to another available date.
Cancellations made less than 7 days before your appointment are non-refundable. Where possible, and entirely at our discretion, we may offer you the opportunity to transfer your booking to another date.
Failure to attend without prior notice will result in the full session fee being retained.
Group Events, Circles & Workshops
Spaces are limited and reserved specifically for you.
Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event will receive a full refund or the opportunity to transfer to another event where available
Cancellations made within 7 days of the event are non-refundable.
If we are able to fill your place from a waiting list, we may, at our discretion, offer a refund or transfer.
Retreats
Retreats may have separate cancellation terms due to venue, accommodation and catering commitments. These will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
5. Arrival
To protect the experience of all participants, we ask you to arrive approximately 10 minutes before the advertised start time.
Unfortunately, late arrivals may not be admitted once a session has begun, particularly for Breathwork, Sound Healing and ceremonial gatherings where late arrival could disrupt the experience of others.
If you are unable to attend because you arrive late, refunds cannot be offered.
6. Health & Wellbeing
Our offerings are intended to support wellbeing and personal development. They are not a substitute for medical, psychiatric or psychological treatment.
By booking, you confirm that:
You are responsible for your own physical, emotional and mental wellbeing throughout your participation.
You have disclosed any relevant medical conditions, medications, injuries or mental health concerns.
You will notify us of any changes to your health before attending.
You have completed all required health questionnaires honestly and to the best of your knowledge.
Some of our offerings may involve physical movement, deep relaxation, emotional processing, meditation, breathwork or ceremonial practices. Participation is always voluntary, and you are encouraged to work within your own comfort and capacity.
If you have any concerns about whether an offering is suitable for you, we recommend consulting your GP or healthcare professional before booking.
7. Photography & Media
Occasionally photographs or short video clips may be taken during events for marketing and promotional purposes.
We will always seek consent before capturing or sharing any identifiable images.
If you would prefer not to appear in photographs or videos, please let us know before the event and we will happily respect your wishes.
8. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website-including text, photographs, graphics, branding, audio, logos and downloadable resources-is the intellectual property of Cedar House Retreat or its licensors.
No material may be copied, reproduced or distributed without our prior written permission.
9. Links to Other Websites
Our website may contain links to third-party websites for your convenience.
We are not responsible for the content, security or privacy practices of external websites.
10. Limitation of Liability
While every reasonable effort is made to provide safe, supportive and accurate services, Cedar House Retreat accepts no responsibility for:
Loss or damage arising from the use of this website.
Loss or damage resulting from reliance on information provided on this website.
Injury or loss arising from participation in our offerings except where caused by our proven negligence.
Participation in all activities is entirely voluntary.
