Ceremonial Circles, Retreats,
& Bespoke Ceremonies
Gatherings for life transitions- birth, death, union, loss, connection & renewal
Sitting in circle and ceremony is one of the oldest forms of community gathering, self-expression, self-care and healing we have. It gives shape to emotion. It allows us to speak from the heart. And it offers us a way to mark the moments that otherwise pass by too quietly or too painfully in today’s world.
At Cedar House Retreat, we offer distinct ways to gather; Ceremonial Circles & Retreats and Bespoke Sacred Ceremonies
All are grounded in presence, care, and deep listening. All honour emotion, transition, and transformation. And invite you to slow down, tune in, and reconnect with what truly matters—whether that’s your own inner voice, a significant life event, or the shared strength of community. There is relief from being heard and witnessed and wisdom from sharing experiences and listening to others.

Ceremonial Circles and Retreat Days are open to all (unless specific as Women only or Male only spaces), they are warm, welcoming gatherings that offer a regular source of community and connection. Each one is centred around a meaningful theme—such as rest, creativity, self-expression, clarity, emotional release—and provides space to reconnect with yourself, others, and the natural world.
In a world that moves fast and often feels overwhelming, Circles are a place to pause and breathe—to listen inward, soften tension, and remember what it feels like to belong.
Some Sacred Circles—like Plant Medicine Circles, Temple of Natura—lean further into spirituality, ritual, using cacao and other plant medicines, breath, movement, sound and nature-based practices to deepen reflection, connection and insight. They also include an optional sharing circle. There is something very powerful about being witnessed in community; where you don’t need to explain yourself, where others won’t interrupt you or offer advice, and where no one tries to fix you. Circles are about returning—to yourself, to community, and to the quiet wisdom that lives within. By expressing whatever needs to be released, may it be tears, sounds or laughter- we create space for more.
Plant-medicine comes in many forms. Here we respectfully share Cacao, a superfood from Peru, communities have connected with this beautifully gentle and nourishing plant for thousands of years.
Ceremonial cacao is a sacred plant medicine that has been used in Indigenous traditions for healing, connection, and ritual. Known as “the food of the gods,” cacao gently opens the heart, supports emotional release, and invites us into deeper presence. Rich in theobromine, magnesium, and mood-boosting compounds, it nourishes the nervous system while enhancing clarity, creativity, and inner connection.
Unlike processed chocolate, ceremonial cacao is pure, minimally processed, and prepared with intention.
At Cedar House Retreat, we serve cacao in ceremony to support heart-led journeys—whether in circle, sound healing, breathwork, or sacred space—inviting you to soften, listen, and come home to yourself.
We also connect with seasonal native plants, like Nettle, Rose, Camomile and Mugwort, to name a few, to learn from. We share in ceremony by way of warm teas, balms, tinctures, aromatherapy oils, foods and drinks.
*Please note we will need a returned medical information and waiver form signed to ensure we are aware and can advise you of any contraindications.
By learning about our native plants, we learn how to care for them, and in return, they offer us the wisdom, nourishment and healing we need-rooted in a relationship of mutual respect and reciprocity. By holding this intention, we can access what we need in the most natural and respectful way.
Our retreat days at Cedar House Retreat offer a nourishing immersion into rest, reconnection, and renewal. Designed to help you step away from the noise of daily life and gently return to yourself, these days usually weave together our core healing practices—Sound Healing, Conscious Connected Breathwork, Plant medicine ceremony, nature connection, and ritual.
They are delivered in half day or full day non-residential offerings like the seasonal Bloom & Sound Women’s Circle Retreat. We create themed gatherings to offer you. You’ll be held in a calm, supportive space where you can soften, receive, and explore your inner landscape without pressure or expectation. These retreats are not focused on grief or heavy emotional work, but on wholeness—inviting you to feel grounded, replenished, and more fully yourself.
Whether you’re new to these practices or returning to deepen your journey, our retreat days are an invitation to rest in your own wisdom and reconnect with what truly matters.
These retreat days are lovingly created to offer deep rest, connection, and community—but they can only go ahead with enough people to hold the space. We’re committed to fostering heartfelt, nourishing experiences, and that means gathering in meaningful numbers. If you feel the call to join, please know that your presence truly matters. You’re not just booking a spot—you’re becoming part of something sacred. Your energy, your story, and your willingness to show up help shape the circle. If this speaks to you, we’d love to have you with us.

Sacred Ceremonies are private, bespoke experiences, tailored to your needs to honour a significant life transition. These are deeply intentional, personal and hold meaning—held one-to-one or in small groups—that provide space to witness, honour, release, or celebrate life’s turning points. They are here for the moments that call for more: More presence. More meaning. More support.
Birth, Motherhood and Fatherhood – including, blessing ways, postpartum honouring, matrescence and adoption.
Union and Commitment – spiritual hand-fasting, alternative hens, deepening relationships and friendships, or sacred partnerships
Loss and Grief – death, miscarriage, divorce, identity shifts, or symbolic endings.
Change and becoming – rites of passage, menopause, moving, career shifts, milestone birthdays
No two ceremonies are the same. Together, we co-create your ceremony using gentle, grounded practices such as breathwork, sound healing, nature elements, altar-making, writing, movement, or symbolic gestures using fire and water.
You can bring sentimental flowers, photographs, jewellery or any item that represents meaning for you. The atmosphere is sacred yet approachable, always shaped by your needs and emotional landscape.
Sacred Ceremonies offer a way to bring meaning and care to the spaces in life that change us, that deserve celebrating or often go unacknowledged and unsaid. They allow you to step through life’s thresholds with clarity, reverence, hope and support.
